3 D Relief carving is produced by removing the surrounding area of the material to reveal the chosen 3D model.
This is a more extensive procedure which takes considerably more time and is therefore more expensive. Furthermore it requires that the depth of the carving is taken into account when producing the individual items to be machined. However, by using dish methods it is possible to machine a 3D relief into an existing piece as long as the material is substantial enough.
